TOLEDO, Ohio – Freshman infielder Garret Pike was named Mid-American Conference Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
Pike was terrific in Toledo's weekend series against Kent State, hitting .625 in four games. He had multiple hits in three out of four contests and reached base at least twice in all four games. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs in the series opener on Friday. On Saturday, Pike scored the game-winning run in UT's walk-off victory in the first game of the doubleheader, then drove in the game-winning run in the second walk-off victory of the day.
