KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The 2022-23 Toledo women’s basketball season is arguably the greatest in program history.
The Rockets have already won an NCAA tournament game. They have a program-record-tying 29 wins. Their current 17-game win streak is the longest in program history. They won an outright Mid-American Conference championship and followed it up with a MAC tournament title.
Can they add a Sweet 16 to the list?
“This team was very determined,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said after UT’s 80-73 win over Iowa State. “I think a year ago to not get what we wanted and then to be able to get back to not only this opportunity but to push the door open for what we really wanted, and that was a chance to see how deep we could go.
