Former University of Toledo running back Peny Boone has decided to transfer to Louisville.
Boone, the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year, announced his intention to transfer on Dec. 26.
The 6-1, 243-pound junior from Detroit rushed for 1,400 yards on 94 carries this season for the Rockets. Boone had 15 rushing touchdowns, while also adding 15 catches for 249 yards and a receiving touchdown.
His 1,400 rush yards ranks seventh nationally and 15 rushing touchdowns ranks ninth in the nation.
Boone won MAC West Offensive Player of the Week honors three times this season, averaging 129.
