TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team will be represented by five Rockets who have qualified to compete in the 2022 NCAA East Regional Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, May 25-28 in Bloomington, Ind. The University of Indiana will host the meet at Haugh Track & Field Complex.
Senior Semra Karaslam and sophomore Emily Vining qualified for the 3000m steeplechase. Karaslan qualified with a personal-best time of 10:05.94 at the Virginia Challenge (April 22). Karaslan also finished runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2022 MAC Championships (May 13). At last year's 2021 NCAA East Regional, Karaslan finished 24th in the prelims with a time of 10:25.
