Five Rockets Qualify for NCAA East Regional Championships

TOLEDO, Ohio – Five athletes from the University of Toledo women's track and field team have qualified to compete at the NCAA East Regional Championships on May 27-29 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Senior Petronela Simiuc qualified to compete in the 1500m with a time of 4:13.62 at the West Coast Relays and ranks 11th in the NCAA Division I East. Simiuc also qualified to compete in the 800m with a time of 2:05.73 at the 2021 MAC Outdoor Championships ranking 35th in the NCAA East, but will not compete in this event at the prelims.
