First impressions: Observations from Toledo’s season-opening win

University of Toledo football moved to 1-0 in its season opener against Norfolk State on Saturday night at The Glass Bowl.

The Rockets’ special teams converted two blocked punts for touchdowns in their 49-10 defeat over the Spartans.

Here are four observations from UT’s Week 1 win:

1. Carter Bradley’s Week 1 performance

Starting quarterback Carter Bradley threw for 183 yards on eight completions out of 11 attempts. His longest pass of the game came on a 84-yard touchdown pass to Devin Maddox to widen the Rockets’ lead to 42-7 at the time.
