Toledo, Ohio – Toledo sophomore Diontae Johnson (Ruskin, Fla.) was named MAC West Division Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Rockets' 58-17victory over Ball State on Oct. 26.
Johnson returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in the win over the Cardinals. He also caught four passes for a career-high 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns from 67 and 88 yards. He finished with 273 all-purpose yards.
Toledo (7-1, 4-0 MAC) hosts Northern Illinois (6-2, 4-0 MAC) this Thursday at the Glass Bowl at 6:00 p.m.
