University of Toledo men’s basketball coach Tod Kowalczyk said he and his staff have remained consistent with the amount of time that is spent coaching defense in practice.
Toledo is riding high on a seven-game win streak, and the defense has played a large factor in the recent results.
The focus and attention to detail haven’t changed from years past, but the buy-in of the players and a nine-man rotation committed to playing together on the defensive end has led to better defensive numbers through the first 10 games of the season.
“We still do a great deal of defensive breakdowns,” Kowalczyk said.
