TIFFIN, Ohio – Sophomore Promise Cross and senior Hannah Sponagule each recorded a first-place finish in their respective events in Day Two of the Tiffin Invitational. Cross took first in the heptathlon and 800m, while Sponagule finished atop the 10,000m.
Cross collected 4,826 total points in the heptathlon for a first-place finish and fourth best score in program history. She came into today's final three heptathlon events with 3,078 points. Cross took sixth in the long jump (5.13m), seventh in the javelin throw (28.30m) and wrapped the event with a first-place finish in the 800m at 2:28.
