CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior Chandler Rice (Louisville, Ohio) was awarded a spot on the All-Mid-American Conference First Team at second base, the league office announced Tuesday. The All-MAC teams were determined from voting by the league's 12 head coaches.
The senior led Toledo this year in batting average (.392), at bats (194), runs (49), hits (76), doubles (16), triples (2), home runs (12), RBI (39), total bases (132), slugging percentage (.680), on-base percentage (.454), stolen bases (21) and fielding percentage (.992). Rice finished the season as the only athlete in the conference to rank Top-5 in 12 offensive statistical categories, and led the MAC in hits, total bases, plate appearances and at bats.
