The University of Toledo football program secured its ninth commitment for the class of 2023 on Wednesday, and the name is already familiar in the city limits.
Central Catholic standout Braden Awls announced his decision on Twitter with a post thanking Irish coach Greg Dempsey while expressing his excitement in committing to the Rockets.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Awls is a three-star athlete and projects as a defensive back at UT.
He had nearly two dozen schools including Bowling Green, Miami (Ohio), Central Michigan, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Army, Air Force, Marshall, Rice, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Penn, and James Madison.
