When Cavon Butler's grandfather Bobby Dunston passed away, he believed the best thing to do was to return home to Toledo and be there for his grandmother Michelle Hunter.
So Butler, a highly-touted defensive lineman who played at Whitmer, decided to transfer from the University of Kentucky and return home to play for the University of Toledo. He announced his decision Tuesday on Twitter.
“It was really a family situation,” Butler told The Blade. “My grandpa passed, and I lived with my grandparents in high school so I could go to Whitmer. So it was just me, my grandma and my grandpa, I just felt like after he passed, my grandma was on her own and by herself, and I was the thing she was missing.
