DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Toledo women's basketball team wrapped up its stay at the Daytona Beach Invitational on Saturday with a convincing 80-70 win over UT Arlington that also marked head coach Tricia Cullop's 300th win at Toledo.
Already the program's all-time winningest coach, Cullop now sports a 300-160 record in her 15th season at Toledo, and a 423-270 overall mark in 23 years as a head coach, including eight seasons as the leader at Evansville from 2000-08.
The Rockets controlled Saturday's game from the outset, leading for nearly the entire first half. The Mavericks trimmed UT's lead to two early in the second half, but by the end of the third quarter Toledo had built its lead back into double figures.
