After being picked to finish sixth in the Mid-American Conference, belief and resilience has led the University of Toledo volleyball team to its first NCAA Tournament berth.
The Rockets (23-10) will take on 4-seed Indiana (23-7) in the opening round Thursday, looking to add a new chapter in their historic season.
“Regardless if somebody picks us first or picks us sixth, we're not going to let the world tell us how to feel,” Toledo coach Brian Wright said. “Sports are played because you get to write your own story, and you don't have to worry about the script that others write.
