Six months have transpired, and Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk still savors the memories.
He was en route to the San Juan, Puerto Rico, airport with his family, JT Shumate, and Setric Millner, Jr., when they found out their flight was canceled. It was back to the hotel for one last night of fun.
Kowalczyk wouldn’t allow anyone to complain about their predicament. Instead, he wanted everyone to take the opposite approach and be thankful that they could spend the moment together.
“It was such a blessing for me to get stuck down there with just my family and those two guys,” Kowalczyk said.
