SYLVANIA, Ohio – University of Toledo sophomore Barend Botha shot a four-under par 67 on Tuesday to win the 91st Habitec Toledo Open with a six-under 136. The tournament was played at Highland Meadows Golf Club.
Botha edged out Jake Scott (Strongsville, Ohio) and Blake Sattler (New Philadelphia, Ohio), who tied for second place at five-under par 139.
"It's pretty awesome for Brand to win the whole thing against the field of professionals," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "He played really well and this will give him a lot of confidence heading into our season.
