The expectations for the University of Toledo are approaching unprecedented levels.
Entering the 2025 season, there are whispers about the College Football Playoff. The 12-team format is partially responsible, as well as UT’s winning history, a glut of returning players, and a schedule tailor-made for a Group of Five (soon to be six) team to crash the party.
The Rockets have gone an impressive 15 consecutive seasons without a losing record. Notre Dame, Michigan, Georgia, Penn State, Texas, Oregon, and LSU are among the bluest of bloods who cannot lay claim to that statistic.
UT hasn’t played a game yet in 2025, but it’s safe to say that streak will be extended to 16 seasons this year.
