A familiar face is now part of the Toledo’s women’s basketball program.
Former Akron forward Lonasia Brewer has transferred to UT and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot Akron native played in all 28 games last season for the Zips, starting 26 and averaging 7.6 points and 4.9 assists per game. She scored a career-high 22 points against Ohio in February.
“We are excited to welcome Lonasia Brewer to our Toledo Rocket family,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. “She has the ability to play multiple positions, is a strong rebounder and can stretch defenses with her range.
