TOLEDO, Ohio - Former Rocket AJ Edu has signed a contract to play for the Toyama Grouses in the Japan Basketball League, the team announced today
"I'm really excited to begin my professional basketball journey at Toyama Grouses," Edu said. "I'm looking forward to meeting all the staff, players, and fans and giving my best on the court!"
Edu played in all 35 games in the 2022-23 campaign and helped the Rockets become the only current Mid-American Conference program to win three-consecutive outright league titles. Edu ranked second on the team with 28 blocked shots and averaged 2.
