The public will get its first glimpse of the 2022 University of Toledo football team on Saturday.
The annual spring game will take place at noon at the Glass Bowl. Admission is free and gates will open at 11 a.m.
Saturday’s scrimmage is the culmination of 15 practices, which began in February. The last time the Rockets were seen on a football field they ended the 2021 season on a sour note, losing a fourth-quarter lead to Middle Tennessee State in the Bahamas Bowl.
The past is long gone, though. UT will use bits and pieces as motivation, but the bulk of its attention is placed on improving and getting ready for Long Island University on Sept.
