3 takeaways from Toledo basketball's first 3 games

Toledo men’s basketball will play its first home game of the season Tuesday as the Rockets host Cleveland State at 7 p.m.

While the game will be the season opener for the Vikings, this is the fourth game of the year for Toledo (1-2) after the Rockets competed in the Xavier Invitational last week. Their lone win came against Oakland, 80-53, and each of their two losses were close. Against Bradley, Toledo fell 61-59 as the Braves’ Terry Nolan, Jr., hit an off-balanced shot with 0.8 seconds remaining. On Friday, Toledo dropped another close one to the host Musketeers, 76-73, after leading for a majority of the game.
