“Don’t let a team beat you twice” is this week’s message in the University of Toledo’s locker room.
The sentiment comes after a demoralizing loss to rival Bowling Green in which the Rockets surrendered 28 unanswered points and turned the ball over four times. Toledo, however, will need to bounce back against a Kent State team that earned its first Mid-American Conference win in three years last week, dominating Massachusetts, 42-0.
The one consistent thing the Rockets have been able to do this season is respond following a loss, especially at home.
“I think we've always been focused on what the response is going to be, rather than the event,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said.
