And while the Rockets will probably make quick work of Morgan State, the Bears’ recent play is an opposing coach’s dream. Instead of sleepwalking through a week of practice, Jason Candle and Co. should have their team’s full attention.
Last season, Morgan State lost 21-6 at eventual Mid-American Conference champion Ohio. Earlier this year, the Bears lost 38-21 to FBS South Alabama, which last week nearly beat potential Group of Five playoff team Tulane.
“They go to Ohio and probably should have won the game,” Candle said.
