Cleveland, OH – The University of Toledo had 14 student-athletes from six spring sports honored as Distinguished Scholar Athletes, the Mid-American Conference announced on Friday. During the 2015-16 academic season, 166 total student-athletes were voted on by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions representing the 'best of the best' from each sports Academic All-MAC teams.
Leading the way for the Rockets were six women's outdoor track and field students. Baseball had three selections, softball honored two, and men's golf, women's golf and women's tennis each provided one honoree. Senior John Martilotta, senior Julia Pusateri and junior Emily Wyrick earn this honor for the second year in a row.
