Where did all the quarterbacks go? For first time in years, Big 12 lacks a star signal-caller

Here's the most interesting thing I've learned about spring football this year: A Nebraska-record 86,818 turned out for Scott Frost's debut Saturday, and it's still 14,000 or so short of Ohio State's national spring game record, set in 2016. You bet Urban Meyer keeps score for this stuff. Losers walk home, then work with the landscaping crew the morning after.

Meanwhile, it's hard to put much stock in spring games around here, where people apparently have better things to do. Like finding a starting quarterback for their alma maters.

The best quarterback at Texas A&M's spring game was the one who played for both sides at halftime.
