Since junior McLane Carter was carted off the field in the first quarter of Texas Tech's season opener against Ole Miss, freshman Alan Bowman has impressed at quarterback.
Maybe enough that Carter may not get his starting job back.
After Bowman's record-breaking performance in Saturday's win against Houston, head coach Kliff Kingsbury left open the possibility that he could keep his position even when Carter returns.
"We're still working through it. McLane moved around a little bit better yesterday," head coach Kliff Kingsbury said. "Today's our off-day, so we're not sure yet if he'll be available.
