The “Throwback game” came out perfectly, a great night with many former players, a detailed organization, a packed and noisy Lubbock Municipal Coliseum, and, last but not least, an important victory over Rice that will allow Texas Tech to maintain their rank.
Coach Beard noticed all these aspects in his post-game press conference, focusing on the performance of the defense, that kept the Red Raiders in the game while the offense was struggling in the first half.
He also pointed out how 26 turnovers were so important in the economy of the game, and that he saw many aspects to work on, as the conference schedule is slowly approaching.
