Kevin Curtis got a chance to come to some games at Jones Stadium when he was little. He came to even more Texas Tech games when he went to Coronado.
Then he lived the dream, becoming an all-American safety for his hometown team and later helping coach it.
So Saturday night will be familiar and maybe disorienting. Curtis will be coaching for another Tech — he’s cornerbacks coach for Louisiana Tech — when the Bulldogs challenge the Red Raiders at Jones Stadium.
“It’s going to be a different feeling,” Curtis said by phone Wednesday after practice.
