Texas Tech’s Smith enters NBA draft without an agent

It’s the dream of every college player across the nation to play in the NBA.

For Texas Tech’s Zach Smith, the fantasy became closer to reality as he submitted his paperwork for early entry into the 2017 NBA Draft without hiring an agent.

Smith, who is expected to gain important knowledge on his draft stock in the coming weeks, will have until May 24 to decide to remain in the draft or elect to withdraw his name and return to the Red Raiders for his senior campaign.

By not signing with an agent, he retained his college eligibility and is able to go through several draft workouts and gain a better understanding of what he needs to do to reach the NBA.
