Texas Tech's quarterback depth has continued to be depleted in the spring. Red Raider junior Colt Garrett announced his interest in utilizing the transfer portal via social media on Thursday.
Garrett made two appearances in his sophomore season as one of four quarterbacks on the Red Raider roster. He was a member of the travel squad for every road game. Garrett completed his first career pass attempt on a 44-yards touchdown to wide receiver Erik Ezukamna against Lamar on Aug. 8. Additionally, he saw time in the team's game against Kansas on Sept. 20.
As a redshirt freshman in 2017, Garrett appeared under center in Tech's win over Kansas, but did not account for any pass attempts.
