Jarrett Culver will start his NBA career with Minnesota, although he'll have to wait until next month for a draft day trade with Phoenix to be official.
After leading Tech to the NCAA championship game this past season season, Culver was taken sixth on Thursday. He was quizzed on a variety of topics by the media after being drafted in Brooklyn. Here are a few excerpts:
Q. Lubbock, Texas, I'm showing my age here, but I remember Buddy Holly being the most famous celebrity coming out of Lubbock. Any familiarity with the music?
Culver: Yeah, Buddy Holly, he's an icon down there.
