It was uncomfortably close with minutes to spare late in the fourth quarter, but Texas Tech’s Thanksgiving- night victory in Austin may go down as one of Kliff Kingsbury’s greatest victories. Offensively speaking, Texas Tech’s performance against the Longhorns was one of the better outings by the group thus far on the season.
Here’s how Texas Tech’s offensive position groups graded out against Texas:
Mahomes completed 22 of 39 passes for 379 yards, one touchdown and an interception. The sophomore quarterback also accounted for 70 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground. While Mahomes’ night against the Longhorns was rather pedestrian by his own standards, he did manage the game well and ultimately did his part to keep the offense humming along late into the fourth quarter.
