Three of the top 10 quarterbacks in the nation could have ties to Texas Tech.
Many say Texas Tech produces "system" quarterbacks, but what happens when those quarterbacks perform well elsewhere? This year Patrick Mahomes, Davis Webb and Baker Mayfield could all end up in the top ten in both passing yards and passing touchdowns. I don't believe any program can say that 3 of the top 10 quarterbacks in the nation have direct ties to their school.
In 2015, Patrick Mahomes finished 4th in passing yards with 4,653 and Baker Mayfield finished 18th with 3,700 yards.
