Texas Tech to host student costume challenge this weekend

United States

Mountain View

Texas Tech will host a student costume contest at this weekend’s game against No. 12 Oklahoma State and the six students who present the best getups will each receive a $4,500 scholarship for the spring semester. The athletic department’s official website reported the development.

TTU Chancellor Robert Duncan, university president Duane Nellis and women’s basketball coach Candi Whitaker will be the judges and the contest has three themes: scary, funny and Texas Tech themed, and each theme will have a male and female winner. This writer hopes that at least one student dresses up as Bobby Knight and enters at least the scary and Texas Tech themes.
