Texas Tech sophomore Jarrett Culver made it official that he will declaring for the 2019 NBA draft in a room filled with friends, fans and family at the United Supermarkets Arena on Thursday.
Culver had a standout season among a group that made a historic run to the NCAA tournament championship, falling to Virginia 85-77 in overtime. Nonetheless, it was a good year for Culver and company.
Individually, Culver made history in being named the program's first Big 12 Conference Player of the Year. He averaged 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists a game in his second season with the Red Raiders, who won their first ever co-Big 12 championship.
