Texas Tech's spring game won't be in Lubbock on April 1. Rather, the Red Raiders will play for fans at The Star in Frisco, the Cowboys practice facility. And they won't be playing in an empty arena. The Tech spring game is officially sold out, the school announced in a release Thursday.
The Star's Ford Center, where the game will be, seats 12,000.
"The Star is a perfect setting to showcase our football program and our university," athletics director Kirby Hocutt said in a release. "The support of our fan base makes it even more special and I know our coaches and student-athletes can't wait to play in one of the premier athletic facilities in the country.
