For the first time ever, the Texas Tech Red Raiders have grabbed themselves a top 5 ranking in the College Football Playoff Top 25.
With the release of the latest College Football Playoff rankings, Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are moving up a little bit. Texas Tech, at 10-1 overall and 7-1 in Big 12 play, is now the No. 5 team in the Week 13 edition of the College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings, up from the No. 6 spot from a week ago.
And while the Red Raiders are certainly deserving of their ranking, it’s worth noting that much of why Texas Tech jumped up a spot is because of the way the Oklahoma Sooners handed previously No.
