The Texas Tech Red Raiders absolutely currently look like the best team in the Big 12 after handling business against the UCF Knights Saturday afternoon. When hosting Scott Frost and the Knights, Texas Tech managed to jump out to a massive lead early and then absolutely exploded in the second quarter to build a 36-point halftime lead.
It’s never a bad thing to be up 38-2 at halftime and that sort of monumental lead over a conference foe allowed Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders to go ahead and rest Behren Morton, protecting their starting quarterback as the game was already well in control for Texas Tech.
