Texas Tech men’s basketball set a competitive schedule for the 2015-16 season.
The Red Raiders play 12 of their 17 home games against postseason teams from last year — seven in the NCAA tournament, three from the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and three from the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT).
Overall, 20 of Texas Tech’s opponents won 20 games last season.
“We have a very competitive schedule,” coach Tubby Smith said in a press release. “We’re going to be tested early on especially in Puerto Rico where we open up with Utah. There are a lot of excellent teams in that tournament field.
