Texas Tech football lands three-star 2020 QB Wilson Long

In the middle of the 2018 season, the Texas Tech football program got some good news for the 2020 season on Thursday. Wilson Long, a three-star prospect from Austin, Texas has verbally committed to the Red Raiders becoming the first player in his class to pledge to Texas Tech.

The five-foot-11, 178-pound prospect is listed as the No. 16 pro-style QB in the nation and No. 64 overall prospect in Texas according to 247Sports.com. Currently, Texas Tech is his only offer.

Playing at private school Austin Regents, Long led his team to the TAAPS (Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools) title game in 2017 accounting for 3,976 total yards and 41 touchdowns.
