Texas Tech Football Hires New Strength Coach

According to a report by Tim Buckley of “The Advertiser”, Rusty Whitt is leaving his post at the University of Lousiana – Lafayette to become the new strength and conditioning coach at Texas Tech.

Coach Whitt was formerly in the same position at ULL, where he began in 2010. He also served as a Special Forces operator in the United States Army for over 8 years, with multiple deployments to Iraq. In addition, Whitt was voted the most intimidating strength coach in 2013 by lostletterman.com.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most important hires of the offseason for the Texas Tech football program.
