Texas Tech football: Hill, Hatfield and Wesley earn game balls

Any 32-win in Big 12 play, even one against lowly Kansas, is gong to feature numerous big performances. That was certainly the case in the Texas Tech football team’s 48-16 win over the Kansas Jayhawks Saturday in Lubbock.

True freshman quarterback Alan Bowman garnered the most headlines as he returned from a partially collapsed lung suffered September 29th against West Virginia. Though he was rusty throughout the majority of the first half, he found his footing to complete 36 of 46 passes for 408 yards with three touchdown passes and an interception.

Allowing Bowman to get his legs back under him against Kansas was ideal ahead of this weekend’s road trip to take on Iowa State, which features one of the tougher defenses in the Big 12.
