As if the Texas Tech football team needed more depth at the running back position, former Illinois running back Kyron Cumbie joined the program as a walk-on this past weekend according to a Tweet from Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. But make no mistake, this is not your typical walk-on.
Rather, this is a player who was highly recruited out of high school.
