1. Red Raider of the Game
In a game as bad as today's, nobody really deserved this, but senior pitcher Dalton Brown pitched 1.1 innings, retiring 4 batters, and was helped by a double play after a runner reached safely after an error. He came in at the top of the 5th, inheriting the bases fully loaded, but was able to get Gurwitz to pop out on the 2nd pitch. Dalton and Parker Mshinski were the only Red Raider pitchers to leave the game unblemished.
2. Play That Impacted the Game
The 2nd inning was rather ugly and proved to be an omen for the rest of the afternoon.
