Texas Tech, Colorado State sign two-game football contract

Texas Tech and Colorado State on Wednesday jointly announced a two-game football series for 2025 and 2026.

The Red Raiders and the Rams will play on Sept. 6, 2025, at Fort Collins, Colorado, and on Sept. 12, 2026, in Lubbock.

Colorado State started construction last year on a $238.5 million stadium scheduled to open in 2017. It will replace Hughes Stadium, which opened in 1968.

Rams athletic director Joe Parker was a deputy athletic director at Tech under Kirby Hocutt from May 2011 to April 2015.

On Monday, Tech announced a two-game contract with North Carolina State that has the two teams playing in 2022 at Raleigh, North Carolina, and in 2027 at Jones Stadium.
