Though we are all wrapped up in football season, the return of Texas Tech basketball is about a month and a half away. And when Chris Beard’s team takes the court on November 5th at home against Eastern Illinois, it will mark the beginning of the most anticipated season in program history.
We already knew what the non-conference schedule held for the Red Raiders. While once again, the teams set to come to Lubbock prior to the start of Big 12 play are lacking name-brand recognition, the January 25th visit from Kentucky as part of the Big 12 / SEC Challenge adds more juice to the home non-con slate than any single game ever played in Lubbock.
