Whataburger is more than a restaurant in Texas, it is a way of life. And every December, it is also the title sponsor of one of the nation’s top basketball tournaments. This year, Micah Peavy, a 2020 Texas Tech basketball signee was the one making fans drool like at No. 5 with bacon and cheese.
The 6-foot-7 forward from Duncanville, Texas led his team to the Orange Division Title and earned MVP honors along the way. Don’t forget that last season, he and current Red Raider Jahmi’us Ramsey led Duncanville to the 6-A state title and Peavy was named MVP of the title game.
