The Big 12 Conference announced changes to its fall football schedule including a move for the Texas Tech and Texas game.
Originally, the game was scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 25, but has been moved to Friday, Nov. 24, or "Black Friday," at Darrel K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium.
Along with the Red Raiders and Longhorns, the league rescheduled TCU-Baylor for Nov. 24, as well.
The league office made the changes because of a request from the Big 12 and television partners at ESPN and Fox Sports.
The Red Raiders have played the Longhorns on Thanksgiving Day the last two trips the team took to Austin in 2013, Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury's inaugural season, and 2015.
