Gutierrez Earns ABCA Rawlings Gold Glove
Texas Tech junior Eric Gutierrez was recognized as the top defensive first baseman in college baseball on Sunday as he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Rawlings Gold Glove Team.
Gutierrez is just the second Red Raider in program history to garner Gold Glove honors, joining former shortstop Kelby Tomlinson who was the first Big 12 player in conference history to receive the award in 2011.
Texas Tech is now the lone Big 12 program to boast multiple Gold Glove winners as only Texas and Baylor have had players recognized since Tomlinson in 2011.
