Branden Jackson isn’t hoping to see just his family this weekend.
The Texas Tech defensive end, who is from McKeesport, Pennsylania — about 45 minutes from the West Virginia border — hopes to see a few naysayers as well.
“I have had guys who told me before I even came out here that they don’t know why I came out here; that they would never play me and that I needed to go to West Virginia or Pittsburgh,” Jackson said. “But I just smile at people like that and get ready to prove them wrong.”
Tech faces West Virginia at 11 a.
